- Nixon Equine Vets has an underlying philosophy of openness and close client involvement in all decisions relating to their horse. We work closely with complementary disciplines, providing referrals and advice to clients on saddle fitting, farriery, physiotherapy, dentistry, nutrition and worming, enabling the practice to adopt a holistic approach to the total welfare of the horse. We run lecture seminars and publish online advice on various aspects of horse management.

A distillation of 50 + years equine veterinary experience
- Nixon Equine Vets roots go back 1956 when Stewart Hastie built a veterinary practice at Maids Moreton. Jane Nixon joined him in 1978. In 2005 Stewart and Jane created Nixon Equine Vets; a practice focused solely on the horse, in order to provide the best possible equine first opinion and referral service. In 2006 the new clinic was built, swiftly followed by RCVS Accreditation. Stewart and Jane are joined by an enthusiastic team of equine vets and clinic support staff.

- The diverse experience of the Nixon Equine Vets team coupled with our commitment to regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) ensures that all our equine veterinary surgeons have the benefit of the latest research and knowledge and the most up-to-date procedures and techniques, enabling the practice to offer a comprehensive service over many aspects of modern equine veterinary disciplines, including diagnosis and performance assessment, treatment and consultancy.
