Veteran Horse Winter Health Check Scheme
The Nixon Equine Veteran Horse Winter Health Check is an annual scheme designed to care for the veteran horse and pony. The scheme runs over the winter when the older horse or pony is most vulnerable. This scheme offers a significant discount for owners of older horses and ponies to help them improve their quality of life and longevity.
The scheme consists of a visit from Juliet Blayney MRCVS to fit in with her rounds and includes a clinical examination of and advice on your horse's teeth, feet and diet as well as system functioning with blood sampling full profile back up.Specific attention will be paid to the possible presence of Cushings disease and related problems. Please note the particular blood sample tests for Cushings are not within the scheme nor are routine dental rasping and vaccinations.
Register your veteran in summer - pay nothing till winter
The cost of the scheme is £100 + VAT inclusive of travel costs and time. Alternatively you can spread the cost over 12 months and pay £10 per month + VAT by direct debit.
